We all have stories we tell ourselves about ourselves, our lives, and our experiences. These stories shape our reality. They shape the way we perceive the world. They also shape our future because what you think about, what you dwell on and focus on, manifests.
Isn’t it time for you to take control of your story? To own your experiences and to work through them? To voice the unspeakable in order to accept it and let it go once and for all?
That is where I come in. I specialize in helping people write their stories and convert them into books. I am a ghostwriter, which means my name does not go on the book – you can claim all the credit! You can have a book in 6 months or less, even if you have never written a book before.
Your book is yours to keep and to do with as you please. You can burn it in a releasing ceremony. Or you can publish it (in your name or a pen name) to help others along their journey to healing.
What do you get out of it?
- A book that you can publish or keep to yourself.
- Healing through owning your story.
- Finally, creating a new story – one that resonates with who you are now and who you want to become in the future.
How does ghostwriting work?
My passion is to tell your story – and to help you heal through doing so.
Getting to know each other.
The process starts off with emails or a video meeting to see whether we are a good fit. It is important that you are comfortable with me because we will likely be speaking about intimate details about your life.
Dealing with the admin.
When you are ready to proceed, I will send you a writer agreement. This gets all the icky admin stuff out the way, like project timelines, due dates, payment schedules, and such.
Time to tell me your story.
We will schedule times for interviews. If you don’t have an outline (a structure of what you want to cover in your book), I can help you create one. In this case, the first one or two interviews will cover that. The interviews can vary in length and number. Usually, about one interview per chapter is required. Sometimes I conduct all the interviews before I start writing; other times, we may work them in as we progress through your ghostwritten book.
Then I write your story.
I send through a draft of each chapter as I complete them. This way, you can see how the book is going and make any changes as we go along. The final ghostwritten book will be given to you at the end of the process.
I will work with you to create something that we can both be proud of. Having said that, if you don’t like my style, you can cancel the agreement at any time – you only pay for the content that you already have.
What can you expect during the ghostwriting process?
A bunch of ‘Holy F*ck’ moments. Seriously. When you start speaking about your things, stuff will come up that you probably never acknowledged. It may feel like it is something you never thought about, but often they are thoughts that have been repressed. This is good.
You may think: ‘I can’t believe I said that.’ Or ‘I never thought about it like that.’ This is also good because you are getting it out.
The process is like a purging – confession even – that leaves you lighter because you no longer need to carry it all in you. Guarding everything like a dirty little secret. Even if it is an unspeakable secret.
How long does it take for me to ghostwrite your book?
It depends on both of our schedules. Usually, a ghostwritten book that is around 30 000 words or 11 chapters (about 2,700 words each) takes roughly 6 months to complete. It could be longer or shorter based on both of our schedules. I strive to stick to this timeframe as much as I can.
Can you publish your book once it is finished?
Yes, all rights will be signed over to you as part of our writer agreement. You can do whatever you want with your ghostwritten book once it is completed. Remember that I am not a professional editor, and you may want to run your book by one before you publish.
Several self-publishing or hybrid publishing companies can help you with everything from editing to marketing and even producing a hard copy of your book. Some of these companies even work with large book stores to help you sell your book.
How much does a ghostwritten book cost?
Wordcounts for books are flexible. The longer the book, the lower the per word rate. My rate per word is between $0,15 and $0,20.
A book with 30 000 words will be $6, 000.00
A book with 65 000 words will be $9, 750.00
*Prices are in USD.
