Manifestation, magic and Quantum physics – are they all just saying the same thing?

‘Ask, believe, receive’, ‘Your thoughts create your reality’, ‘Be careful what you wish for’. These are all sayings that have become a natural part of many people’s vocabulary. Advocates of manifestation and the Law of Attraction tell you to visualise something, really feel it, and you will receive it. Workers of magic use the same principle to infuse their spells with energy to create a desired outcome. But what does this have to do with quantum physics, you say? Well, scientists have recently found that ‘an observer’s’ thoughts changes the way sub-atomical particles behave. Basically they have proven that your thoughts could (and actually do) influence and create the physical world around you.

Law of attraction.

While there are a number of Universal Laws (also known as Spiritual Laws or Laws of Nature) that all influence the lives, situations and circumstances that we manifest in our lives, the Law of Attraction is the most well-known. Generally when people speak about the law of attraction they often include concepts of the other laws like the Laws of Vibration and Resonance – perhaps even without realising it.

The premise of the Law of Attraction is that your thoughts create your reality. Practitioners visualise their desires while infusing the visualisation with emotions, with the feelings of ‘already having it’ and with gratitude of receiving that which is asked for.

According to James Malins, the Wisdom Guide, “The law of attraction is an internal law that everything uses consciously and unconsciously. Once you start to become aware of your own creative ability you use desire, visualisation, emotion and action to bring your desires into the physical reality you live in”.

Magical energy work.

In the book Wicca: The Complete Craft, D.J. Conway defines magic as “the drawing down of energy from another realm and using that energy to create and shape a desired result. The Witch must create the result on the Inner Planes in order for it to follow universal laws and manifest on the physical plane”.

This does not only relate to practitioners of Wicca, but to all practitioners of witchcraft. Melanie Marquis, in her book A Witch’s World of Magic

instance, the belief that our conscious intentions and symbolic actions can sway the inner workings of the world around us”.

Quantum physics with special reference to wave function collapse.

Quantum physics might seem a bit intimidating at first but when you dig a bit deeper it offers amazing and interesting theories of understanding how the universe works. The field of quantum physics investigates the characteristics of the world around us right down to the subatomic level (or things we cannot see).

Quantum physicists have discovered that everything in the universe, everything that is seen and unseen, is all made up of energy – referred to by some as ‘light’. Some quantum physicists speak about wave forms of probabilities. These ‘probabilities’ have the potential of being any infinite amount of things that, could or will or may happen or not happen.

A bit confusing, huh? Bear with me… every ‘probability’ that ever existed, currently exist or will exist in the future is a wave form. As to date no one has figured out how these wave forms are made or where they come from, but they have proven that they exist.

Most of us know that everything is made up of molecules, which consists of atoms, what quantum physicists found is that these atoms are made up of sub-atomical particles which include photons, leptons, electrons, neutrons and quarks etc, which are made up of pure energy or light. This discovery stems from Albert Einstein’s discovery of E=MC². In short, it proved that everything is made up of pure energy or light.

Quantum physics has thus proven what Rumi said in the 13^th century: that “you are not a drop in the ocean. You are the entire ocean in a drop”. Basically we exist in this ocean of energy made up of the same energy as we are.

Through observation and research quantum physicists have proven that everything in the universe is vibrating frequency of energy (can you say Law of Attraction?) which then combines with energy of similar frequencies to create the physical world or our perceived reality. Thus everything around us are not solid things, but forms made up of pure, vibrating energy – all connected to each other.

What does all of this have to do with manifestation and magic? I’m getting there, I promise…and it is very interesting!

Around 1927 Neils Bohr collaborated with quantum physicists and theorist in what is called the Copenhagen Interpretation. The experiment found that sub-atomical particles are not only particles but exist and are made up of both wave forms and/or particles – but they could not exist in both forms simultaneously.

The Copenhagen Interpretation also found that energy is waves and when given attention, or observed, all wave forms collapse and particles, or matter, is formed. The person paying attention to, or observing, the particles determine whether they are (or turn into) waves or particles. If the observer expects to see the energy as waves s/he would, but then if s/he expects to see particles that is what would be observed.

To clarify that: sub-atomical particles take on form as matter based on the thoughts or believes that an observer has about them. Thus our thoughts literally create the material (and non-material) world around us as we turn wave forms of ‘probability’ (or something ‘spiritual’) into particles or bits of matter (‘reality’).

To dig a bit deeper, let’s speak about Quantum Entanglement. Scientists broke some sub-atomic particles in half (or separated them). When they did this they found that the pieces could communicate with each other. This communication happened instantly, no matter how far the ‘pieces’ were removed from each other. On a side note: Cleve Baxter proved this with DNA and found that DNA taken from an individual responded and reacted to the emotions of that person at the exact moment that s/he experienced the emotions, no matter how far they were apart.

This proved that energy does not need to travel. That it is all connected and messages and information can be sent instantly.

To sum up all the jargon: quantum physics has proven that your thoughts create they world around you- and that this can happen instantly. Because all sub-atomical particles exist in a form of ‘probability’ the only thing that influence what it turns into is the observer- you!

Energy work has been part of human cultures nearly since the beginning of man. Shamans, sages and holy-men have energy manipulation in one form or another for centuries- millennia even. Whether you call it manifestation, magic(k) or quantum physics, it seems that they are all the same and they all come to the same conclusion: that you are the creator of your universe.

Quantum Consciousness – Where’s Your Head At?

Where does consciousness originate? Is it all in your head?

Many theories on the source of consciousness have come to light. The materialist version suggests that consciousness is a byproduct of electrochemical stimulation of nerves in the brain. It essentially describes consciousness itself as an anomaly… a biochemical accident that produces this awareness, and when we die, the accident gets erased, and there’s nothing but proteins and base elements.

The materialist theory is based upon observations of material changes in the brain, and the associated changes in the consciousness of the subject. In other words, if you do something to the brain, the mind of the individual changes. They can point to experiments in lab animals, or trauma cases where brain functions are altered by physical changes. Cut out a section of the brain supposedly connected to a particular function, and that function is lost… thus the function was in that section of the brain.

This materialist theory suggests that the consciousness of a person resides within the brain. It is the sum total of its biochemistry, neuropathways, brain cells and the evolution of better performance though natural selection which results in this unique personality we call the individual. It also suggests that when someone dies, these functions die with them, and the individual no longer exists. Their information, personality, etc… are just gone… forever.

A more daring theory is the concept of nonlocality in consciousness.

This suggests that our mind resides somewhere outside of the body entirely, and it is the brain that simply receives information from this external source.

The argument of the mechanical/machine-like brain is met with logical arguments about electronic devices, like computers, televisions, or radios. If you remove a part from your computer, especially one involving a function like memory, or information processing, it won’t work. If you damage a television or radio, they might also stop working.

Does that mean that the TV show is gone, and doesn’t exist anymore… or that the music that was playing on the radio is lost forever? Of course not. Just because your computer is broken, doesn’t mean the Internet is just gone… just the thing you used to access it is.

Now let’s talk about the quantum world.

With scientific observations like the one described in the Double Slit Experiment, the world is starting to understand that consciousness influences the behavior of subatomic particles, which in turn make up everything in the universe. Observation causes the random wave function (or the entropic state of energy) to collapse from a random state to an ordered one. It goes from random wave behavior to particle behavior by introducing an observer. When the observer stops observing, the behavior returns to entropy again, becoming a random wave function all over again.

We are physical beings… no question about that. But the more I think of it, the less likely it seems that life could form from random energy and just happen to manifest a being as complex as us, capable of self-awareness and the ability to observe subatomic particles from randomness to order. To me, it seems more likely that the manifestation process must necessarily follow in the wake of the observer. So what consciousness observed the energy of these physical forms to cause the collapse of the wave?

So here is the question to ponder… are you a living body made of condensed energy that just happened to form with an anomaly of consciousness adrift in an endless universe of more physical stuff? If so, then it is one heck of a common anomaly to keep happening over and over again from one generation to the next. Or… is it possible that you are a consciousness that has caused random energy to collapse and become a physical body in order to observe this manifestation we call the universe? And that could mean that your own consciousness is the source of your own manifestation.

Spiritual Growth and Manifesting Through the Art of Allowing

After each healing session I would always channel the following words to my clients: ‘Allow this healing to ripple, it always clears at the root of where you first experienced polarity and then ripples through all the layers of Self until it reaches the last level of our experience in the physical and the body’.

I have seen this with the major planetary alignments playing out as well, we have had some major incoming energies and alignments happen since January and March 2019. We feel the incoming energies through tiredness and exhaustion at first, then as it ripples over the months, we start to see the effects as it anchors in the physical planes and the miracles and bliss and flow of sacred synchronicity is felt by all.

Are you allowing your practices/healings or the incoming shifts to ripple, or are you forcing change and wanting to see the change immediately? There is a beautiful, unfathomable, Love that governs and oversees our whole existence. The art of allowing this flow needs to become an actionable step in the physical as you completely surrender to Your highest good to unfold daily.

We do our part by aligning mind, body and spirit on a daily basis and asking for what we want, but the other 99% is complete surrender and trust and the work of the Universe. One of my mentors once said to me: ‘Once you start asking HOW? You are just being rude, LOL, that is none of your business’. Every new habit takes time to become your new, so even there we should soften and allow ourselves to fully REmember.

What has helped me immensely on my journey was to constantly, throughout the day, keep an open dialogue going with my Universe / Creator until I have felt my faith and trust build in the area that I was remembering. Being real and authentic in these conversations allow you to fully let go and stay in your true essence. If you’re mad, have it out with your Universe, ask for help and Allow the healing to unfold from there. If you are confused, journal and let it all flow out until you have had your release and the path has been untangled, then Allow the healing to unfold from there.

The Art of Allowing then becomes an action in the physical experience – Allow your words, your heart and your actions to align with your highest good. We are created in the image and likeness of our Creator and through various spiritual practices it always comes back to our triad of experiences. MIND, BODY, SPIRIT.

Are you allowing creation through all these parts of your experience? Allow the mind to wonder and dream. Allow the body to express and release. Allow your spirit to soar and deeply connect.

I received a download about two years ago where I was asked by my team in spirit to find something for mind, something for body and something for spirit to do every day for the next 30 days. I was asked to pick one thing that I wanted to manifest and keep my focus and joy on that throughout the day. The only condition was that whatever I decided to do for my triad balance should not feel like work, but actually be something that I really enjoy.

So I embarked on my journey with a 30 day @ home yoga challenge, meditation every evening in an Epson salt bath and manifestation affirmations throughout the day. The first two days I started to realize how “in control” of everything I wanted to be and I was wasting so much energy every day fighting myself. As I took my positive manifesting statements and said it throughout the day, at first I couldn’t even allow the words to flow from me (I wasn’t even allowing myself to create by speaking what I truly wanted to manifest).

I persisted on my challenge and everyday got easier and easier and I woke up earlier and with so much fun and joy that I didn’t care if my manifestation was coming or not, I was feeling amazing!

Without pushing it I allowed myself to completely surrender into my Vortex and it felt like bliss. On day 12 the flood gates opened and my manifestation of R50 000 (about $3500) came into full fruition in my physical reality and I was in awe. I have learned so much through this journey and have been playing more and more with manifestation and the art of allowing myself to Remember and see the magic unfold ever since.
